ATHE Level 3 Diploma in Law
The ATHE Level 3 Diploma in Law is equivalent to an A-Level or Access to HE Qualification. Learners who may not have the traditional entry qualifications can study for this diploma and progress to study a law degree thereafter. There is a great choice of Bachelor degrees offered by a number of universities including the ATHE partner universities namely the University of Bedfordshire and the University of Northampton where learners can further their studies in higher education, specifically an LLB or BA degree course relating to law. Learners will get an insight into law and the legal system as well as key academic, research and communication skills.
The ATHE Level 3 Diploma in Law is a 60 credit qualification.
Learners have to complete 4 mandatory units worth 60 credits to achieve the full qualification.Units within this qualification

Academic & Research Skills for Law 15 credits
The Diploma is assignment based. The minimum vocational content for this qualification is 100%. A project on a topic in the area of law has to be completed in the Academic & Research Skills unit.
No formal requirements or levels of attainment are required. If the learner has not already achieved a level 2 qualification in English and/or Maths they will be expected to complete a GCSE or Level 2 Functional Skills qualification whilst working towards the Law Diploma. It is advisable to have a good standard of English as it is important when it comes down to researching resources and writing assignments.
